The environment may also include wet or humid conditions, vibrations, and occasional exposure to chemicals.Job DescriptionJob Summary:The General Maintenance (Facilities) Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating maintenance activities for plant facilities, building systems, and mobile equipment. This role ensures preventive and corrective maintenance is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements, while supporting reliability, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives.Pay Rate between $80,000 to $110,000Essential Duties and Responsibilities:(Including but not limited to) Supervision & Team LeadershipSupervise and coordinate maintenance staff, including Plant Services Team, mobile equipment technicians/mechanics, and contractorsAssign daily work orders and prioritize tasks based on operational needsTrain team members on procedures, safety requirements, and proper equipment use; conduct toolbox talksConduct performance evaluations and provide coaching in alignment with McWane Way principlesSchedule coverage, overtime, and on‑call rotationsReports to the Facilities Maintenance Manager. Preventive & Corrective MaintenancePlan, schedule, and oversee preventive maintenance programsEnsure timely repair and upkeep of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and structural systemsRespond to emergency maintenance issues as requiredMonitor equipment condition, performance, and reliabilityEnsure all maintenance tasks are completed to standard and on schedule Facility & Systems OversightOversee upkeep of buildings, grounds, and infrastructureEnsure compliance with building codes, permits, and regulatory requirements Safety & ComplianceEnforce workplace safety policies and proceduresConduct safety inspections and job hazard analysisEnsure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulationsMaintain safety documentation, incident reports, and corrective action recordsLead or support safety training and toolbox talks Work Orders, CMMS & DocumentationManage maintenance work orders using the CMMSTrack labor hours, parts usage, and equipment downtimeMaintain accurate maintenance records for audits and inspectionsGenerate performance reports, including mobile equipment downtime tracking and communication Vendor & Contractor ManagementCoordinate work performed by vendors and contractorsReview scopes of work and ensure quality and timely completionMonitor contractor safety complianceAssist with vendor selection and ongoing performance evaluation Inventory & Resource ManagementMaintain spare parts and maintenance supply inventoryOrder materials and manage costsEnsure tools and equipment are available, maintained, and serviceableMinimize downtime due to parts or resource shortages Budgeting & Cost ControlAssist with development and management of the maintenance budgetMonitor expenses, labor costs, and variancesIdentify cost‑saving opportunities, including repair vs. replacement decisionsSupport capital projects and asset life‑cycle planning Communication & CoordinationServe as a point of contact between maintenance, operations, and managementCoordinate maintenance activities around production or occupancy schedulesCommunicate issues, risks, and improvement opportunities to leadership Continuous ImprovementIdentify inefficiencies and recommend process improvementsSupport reliability initiatives and root cause analysisImplement best practices in maintenance managementSupport sustainability and energy‑efficiency initiatives Competencies:Adaptability- Able to adjust to the needs of the organization by learning new jobs, changing shifts with short notice and a willingness to learn new things.
