Registered Nurse - Cath Lab

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Catheterization Lab team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role involves working closely with patients undergoing catheterization procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process. Duties Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Catheterization Lab, including pre-procedure assessments and post-procedure monitoring. Assist physicians during catheterization procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment is prepared and available. Perform catheter care and manage patient recovery following procedures, monitoring vital signs and addressing any complications that may arise. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients. Educate patients and their families about procedures, potential risks, and post-procedure care instructions. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities in compliance with hospital standards. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety within the lab. Adhere to all established protocols for infection control, safety standards, and regulatory compliance. Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Experience in a catheterization lab or similar setting is preferred. Proficiency in catheter care and familiarity with suture techniques. Knowledge of working with people with disabilities is highly desirable. Experience in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) nursing is a plus. Ability to perform specimen collection processing and spinal tap procedures as needed. Understanding of esthetic laser treatment protocols is advantageous.
