Brycon is hiring motivated, detailed, and safety-orientated Project Engineer to work with our general contracting team in Reno, NV.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nReview project plans and proposals, and work with management to develop project objectives\nStudy product design, customer requirements, and performance standards to determine project specifications and present cost estimates\nReview contractor bids\nThrough project coordination meetings and other forms of communication, oversee and coordinate the technical aspects of the project\nPrepare status reports and regularly monitor schedules\nMaintain an accurate record of all elements of the project via an electronic database\nMonitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications\nInteract daily with clients to interpret their needs and requirements\nRead drawings and prepare take-offs\nPrepare, submit, and track RFIs and submittals\nGenerate and track all change orders\nTrack and log all drawings\nCollaborate and communicate effectively with the Project Manager and other project participants to ensure project success\nInform safety managers, superintendents, and/or appropriate supervisors of any safety violations and/or injuries immediately\nEstablish annual continuing education goals to improve performance and proficiency in construction project management\nCollect closeout documentation and prepare turnover O&M manuals to Owner\nOther Duties as assigned\nEmployee may be required to work extended hours (more than 8 hours per day), weekends, and holidays.
