We're looking for a dependable, friendly cashier to join our team in New York City. We're a small, close-knit team and we genuinely care about the people who work with us — this isn't a faceless company where you'll feel like a number.If you're someone who takes pride in doing a job well, treats people with respect, and shows up when they say they will — we'd really like to hear from you.HoursPart-time: 16–24 hours per week, including some weekend shiftsFull-time: 35–40 hours per week across a rotating shift patternShifts typically run 7:00am–3:00pm, 11:00am–7:00pm, or 2:00pm–10:00pmWe try our best to work around your availability and give at least two weeks' notice on schedulesDay-to-day responsibilitiesOperating the register and processing cash, card, and contactless payments accuratelyGreeting customers as they approach and helping with any questions at the checkoutBalancing your till drawer at the start and end of each shiftKeeping the checkout area stocked, tidy, and presentable throughout the dayOccasionally helping with other tasks around the store during quieter periodsFlagging pricing discrepancies or customer complaints to a supervisor promptlyWhat we're looking forSomeone punctual and consistent — this matters more to us than a long résuméA warm, patient manner with customers, especially during busy periodsComfortable handling cash and basic arithmetic under pressureAble to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionallyPrevious cashier or retail experience is helpful, but we're happy to train the right personMust be eligible to work in the United StatesWhat we offerPaid sick leave in line with NYC requirementsHealth insurance contribution for full-time staff after 90 days10% staff discountA straightforward, no-drama work environment — we treat our staff like adultsOpportunities to take on more responsibility and move into a senior or supervisory role over timeWe aim to respond to all applications within 5 business days.
