Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit Float Pool position in Chapel Hill, NC, requiring at least one year of nursing experience and active NC or compact RN licensure.Job Details• Float pool position covering all progressive care units within a large academic medical center, including Surgical, Neuro, Medicine, Cardiac, Cardiovascular, and Burn Center units,• May also float to acute care units as needed,• Patient ratios are 1:3 to 1:4 on PCU/Stepdown units, and up to 1:5 on acute care units,• Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts,• 36 hours per week, 3 days per week,• Every other weekend (EOW) required,• No on-call responsibilities,Job Requirements• Active RN license in North Carolina or a compact state license currently in hand,• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA or ARC) required,• Current ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required,• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required,• Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited nursing school required; BSN or MSN preferred,Additional Information• Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient-centered care using the nursing process across a variety of progressive care specialties,• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams for care planning, patient education, and discharge planning,• Performs bedside point-of-care testing as required,• Every other holiday (EOH) coverage required,• Two professional references required for consideration
