Come rock your career at MD&B!DRILL OPERATOR (CONSTRUCTION)Safely perform all construction or quarry drilling activity in accordance with the job program to achieve anticipated production.ResponsibilitiesFollow Safety Policies and ProceduresPerform daily maintenance activities required for safe, efficient operation of assigned equipmentUnderstand different drill patterns and terminology then execute drill pattern and layout as established by the Blaster ForemanMaximize the usage of all drill suppliesInventory accessories, understand cost of accessories, maintenance drill accessoriesCommunicate problems and terrain conditions to the Blasting SupervisorUnderstand the Field Accounting system and be able to accurately complete and submit timely drill reports, hole sheets, and signed timecardsPhysical agilityParticipate in meetings: Foreman's, safety, job specific, daily heads-upAbility to work unsupervised while maintaining efficiency and safe work practicesComplete Driller I and Driller II training certificationsOther duties as assignedQualificationsMust have 5+ years hydraulic equipment operating experienceValid Driver's License with own reliable transportation, must be a truck.Must have personal cell phone for communicationsOne year experience in the construction industryExperience as a construction laborerMust hold a high level of common sense relative to equipment and machinery operationMechanical aptitude based on past experience around equipment, motors, hydraulic, electrical systems, ETC.Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screenMust successful complete background screening for ATFPhysical RequirementsAbility to perform essential functions of the positionAbility to lift 50 - 100 lbs., 30 - 40% of the timeStooping and bending 30 - 40% of the timeWork on uneven and loose surfaces in varying weather environmentsEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
