The above represents the standard Corporate Policy.\r\nFleet Maintenance Shop Supervisor major responsibilities\r\n\r\n\r\nSchedules and administers fleet maintenance, assists in troubleshooting problems with equipment. Communicates availability of vehicles for service with dispatch, maintenance manager and/or other operations personnel.\r\n\r\n\r\nSupervises maintenance operations. Plans and distributes the work. Delegates responsibilities as appropriate and monitors performance. Involved in reviewing personnel actions (e.g., hiring, promotions and discipline), and recommending appropriate actions to management.\r\n\r\n\r\nWorks closely with location manager providing status of maintenance and budget requirements.\r\n\r\n\r\nReviews repair orders for accuracy and completeness.\r\n\r\n\r\nMaintains fleet campaign work and schedules with accurate documentation.\r\n\r\n\r\nEnsures compliance on a day-to-day basis with State, Federal and Company requirements.\r\n\r\n\r\nEnsures all company safety policies and standards are followed and conducts daily safety meeting.\r\n\r\n\r\nMust have working knowledge of the principles, techniques and practices of servicing and repairing vehicles and equipment; drive trains, suspensions and braking systems, heating and air conditioning, electrical, air, hydraulic and other related systems; the use and operation of tools and machinery used in vehicle and equipment repair work, the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade.\r\n\r\n\r\nMay order parts, and subcontract repair work.\r\n\r\n\r\nPerforms regular shop and yard inspections maintaining facility to client and company standards.\r\n\r\n\r\nRequired to perform hands-on work activities such as repairs and maintenance of trucks and heavy equipment.\r\n\r\n\r\nIdentifies and recommends actions to improve operating efficiency.\r\n\r\n\r\nMay arrange services for building and grounds keeping or complete other projects as assigned.\r\n\r\n\r\nMaintains an open line of communication with customer.\r\n\r\n\r\nFleet Maintenance Shop Supervisor job requirements\r\n\r\n\r\nHigh school diploma or equivalent; Technical training preferred\r\n\r\n\r\nPossess Valid CDL with Passenger endorsement\r\n\r\n\r\nPrevious fleet maintenance experience required\r\n\r\n\r\n3+ years of hands-on mechanical supervisory experience preferred\r\n\r\n\r\nExcellent written and oral communication skills\r\n\r\n\r\nMust be computer literate with experience in operating fleet management information systems and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Access\r\n\r\n\r\nASE Certifications are preferred.\r\n\r\n\r\nAbout Transdev: Cities, counties, airports, companies, and universities across the U.S. contract with Transdev to operate their transportation systems, maintain their vehicle and fleets, and deliver on mobility solutions.
