It is an active, executive-sponsored initiative with dedicated AI subject matter experts already embedded in our team. We are looking for a Controller who sees this as an opportunity, not an adjustment.The RoleReporting directly to our CFO, you will own the monthly close, lead a team of two, prepare and review SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K), and serve as the primary liaison with our external auditors. You will also take point on integrating AI-assisted workflows into the department — working alongside our AI specialists to implement automation, set quality standards, and ensure your team uses these tools with professional rigor.This is a hands-on leadership position. You will carry your own technical workload while managing and developing your team. Clean, reviewed financials — ready for CFO-level review — are the expectation, not the goal.What We Require•       Active CPA license•       5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years managing direct reports•       Direct SEC reporting experience (10-Q and/or 10-K)•       Strong US GAAP technical knowledge (ASC 842, ASC 606, and related standards)•       Experience as an auditor liaison and hands-on monthly close contributorWhat Sets a Candidate Apart•       Prior experience with AI tools in an accounting or finance context•       Background at a public company or Big 4 / national firm•       A genuine belief that technology and professional judgment are complementary — not competingWhat We Offer•       $90,000 – $135,000 annually, commensurate with experience•       Stock options and comprehensive benefits (health, dental, vision)•       A direct reporting relationship to the CFO•       Visibility into capital raises, investment banking activity, and IPO-related milestones•       The infrastructure, support, and executive commitment to actually make AI adoption workIf you are a CPA who is ready to lead from the front — technically, operationally, and technologically — we would like to hear from you.How to ApplySubmit your resume and a brief cover letter addressing two questions: how you have managed a team while carrying your own workload, and how you have approached — or would approach — AI tools in an accounting environment.
