Preconstruction Services Manager

Job Description Salary: $125,000 - $200,000ProWest is seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented Preconstruction Services Manager to help lead the planning and development of projects before construction begins. This role is critical in ensuring projects are set up for success by focusing on coordination, constructability, procurement strategy, and early risk identification.This is not a pure estimating role; instead, youll work across teams to develop practical, well-coordinated solutions that support project budgets, schedules, and overall constructability.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Support preconstruction efforts on pursuits, awarded projects, and potential projects in developmentReview drawings, specifications, and proposals toidentifyscope,logistics, and constructability considerationsCollaborate with estimators, project teams, and trade partners to support budgets and bid deliverablesHelp develop bidder lists, outreach strategies, and subcontractor participation plansCoordinate bid communications and support subcontractor proposal developmentParticipate in scope review meetings to clarify inclusions, exclusions, and gapsAssistin reviewing subcontractor proposals for completeness and alignmentSupport constructability reviews and coordinate input across stakeholdersIdentifyrisks, procurement challenges, long-lead items, and schedule impactsAssistwithlogisticsplanning, project phasing, and site coordinationContribute to value engineering efforts and propose practical alternativesPrepare preconstruction deliverables, including budgets, estimates, schedules, and reportsTrack action items, design decisions, and deadlinesParticipate in meetings with owners, architects, consultants, and internal teamsSupport project transitions from preconstruction to constructionVisit project sites as needed to assess conditions and constraintsQualifications:510+ years of experience in preconstruction, project management, construction, or related fieldDBIA and LEED credentials preferredStrong understanding of construction documents, trade scopes, scheduling, and procurementAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneouslyWorking knowledge of estimating and budgeting processesExperience reviewing subcontractor proposals andidentifyingscope gapsStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsProficiencyin Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and construction management toolsDegree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related fieldField experienceExperience with K-12, higher education, healthcare, or public works projectsFamiliarity with California agency work and local subcontractor marketsExperience with conceptual budgeting, scheduling, or value engineeringWhy Join Us:Opportunity to lead complex, high-impact projectsCollaborative team environment with direct access to leadershipClear path for growth and advancementCompetitive compensation and benefitsWhat We Offer:401K with matchingHealthcarePaid vacations and holidaysPerformance bonusAbout Us:We are a General Contractor with over 30 years of experience delivering complex public and institutional projects across K12, higher education, healthcare, and civic markets.
