Hearing Screener - Part Time

Job Description: Hearing Screener Part Time – Day Shift – 20 hours/week Job Description The Hearing Screener performs hearing screens on newborns, neonate (birth to discharge) and infant (discharge to twelve months) and provides education to parents pertaining to the relevance of hearing screening and early intervention. Supports the unit as needed. Job Duties Performs hearing screens on newborns in the parent room (unless conditions do not permit). Performs outpatient hearing screens when required. Follows established guidelines regarding safety and infection control. Clean, adjust and perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning. Maintains corporate compliance guidelines and integrity and maintains training in specific corporate risk areas that may affect specific areas. Accurately enters hearing screen date in the KY Child database and any unit specific databases.
