This role oversees all phases of construction from site development and utility installation through shell construction, site work, project turnover, and closeout while ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives are achieved.\nExperience with interior build-outs and tenant improvement projects is highly desirable to support future construction assignments.\nKey Responsibilities\nProject Site Leadership\nProvide daily on-site supervision and management of subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.\nCoordinate all construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with contract documents.\nConduct daily site walks and monitor workmanship, quality control, and compliance with project specifications.\nMaintain project schedules and proactively identify and mitigate potential delays.\nSite Development & Utilities\nOversee site preparation activities including clearing, grading, excavation, and erosion control.\nCoordinate installation of all underground and above-ground utilities including:\nWater\nSanitary sewer\nStorm sewer\nElectrical service\nGas service\nTelecommunications\nWork closely with municipalities, utility providers, inspectors, and subcontractors to ensure timely utility connections and approvals.\nShell Construction\nManage all aspects of building shell construction including:\nFoundations\nConcrete work\nStructural steel\nMasonry\nFraming\nRoofing\nExterior finishes\nStorefront systems\nVerify work is completed according to plans, specifications, and local building codes.\nSite Work Coordination\nOversee installation of parking lots, sidewalks, curbs, landscaping, site lighting, signage, and pavement markings.\nCoordinate site inspections and punch-list completion.\nEnsure site accessibility, drainage requirements, and final grading are completed successfully.\nSafety Management\nEnforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations.\nConduct regular safety meetings and site inspections.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and secure jobsite.\nAddress and resolve safety concerns immediately.\nQuality Control & Documentation\nMonitor construction quality and ensure compliance with project standards.\nMaintain daily reports, schedules, inspection records, and project documentation.\nCoordinate project punch lists and final turnover activities.\nSupport successful completion of owner inspections and occupancy requirements.\nClient & Team Coordination\nServe as the primary on-site contact for project stakeholders.\nCollaborate with Project Managers, architects, engineers, owners, inspectors, and subcontractors.\nParticipate in project meetings and provide regular status updates.\nQualifications\nRequired\n5+ years of commercial construction superintendent experience.\nProven experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects.\nStrong knowledge of site development, utility installation, and shell construction.\nAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.\nKnowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.\nStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nProficiency with construction scheduling and project management software.\nPreferred\nExperience with fast-casual restaurant, retail, or franchise construction projects.\nInterior construction and tenant improvement/build-out experience.\nExperience coordinating MEP systems and finish trades.\nOSHA 30 certification.\nAbility to manage multiple projects and travel as required.\nKey Competencies\nLeadership and team management\nScheduling and planning\nUtility and site work coordination\nQuality assurance\nSafety management\nBudget awareness\nClient relationship management\nProblem-solving and decision-making\nReports To\nProject Manager / Senior Construction Manager\nWork Environment\nPrimarily field-based construction environment.\nFrequent interaction with subcontractors, clients, inspectors, and design professionals.\nAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and travel to project sites as required.\nBenefits\nPTO\n$550 per month Vehicle Allowance\n$60 a month cell phone allowance\nAll gas is comapny paid\nHealthcare Stipend based on need.\nFor this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
