The duties outlined below reflect the full scope of responsibilities at the senior level; responsibilities may be adjusted based on experience and position level.\nFor this position, CID is specifically seeking candidates with public works estimating experience in the systems integration or electrical contracting industries.\nPosition Summary:\nThe Estimator position at CID is responsible for managing bid site subscriptions and coordinating bid development across multiple disciplines. This role involves acquiring, reviewing, and logging bid documents; interpreting drawings, specifications, and bills of materials; and supporting accurate and competitive cost development. The Estimator also works closely with vendors, customers, and internal teams to maintain strong relationships and continuously improve CID’s estimating processes, helping ensure the company remains competitive and well-positioned for success.\nWork Environment:\nEngineers at CID primarily work in a climate-controlled office environment with their own cubicle or office. Field work entails job walks and pre-bid meetings that will be held in various industrial environments that require PPE of different levels.\nTravel:\nTravel for bid walks and pre-bid meetings is expected anywhere from 5% to 10% of the time. The remote work may include air travel, hotel stays, and meals that will be covered per diem.\nSalary Range:\nLow: $70,000\nHigh: $110,000\nPosition Responsibilities:\nManage bid site subscriptions and other resources to target bids.\nEngage with vendor relations for opportunity routing.\nReview and interpretation of specifications, plans, and bills of materials.\nCoordinate with discipline leads for labor resourcing and materials estimation\nManage weekly meetings to review proposals.\nRFIs/bid question submissions.\nGo/no go evaluations.\nManagement of marketing content (content library) and CRM software.\nManage costing templates and costing metrics.\nBuild electrical BOMs for costing.\nManagement of AI based content platforms and proposal generation tools.\nCompile RFP/opportunity data pre and post bid for analysis.\nPost bid information gathering from customers.\nRoutinely search for and assess alternative vendors and costing for preferred equipment.\nManage vendor relations and other programs for costing advantages with vendors.\nMaintain internal costing database.\nSales experience.\nPre-existing customer networking.\nProject management experience.\nPay: $70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year\nBenefits:\n401(k)\n401(k) matching\nDental insurance\nHealth insurance\nPaid time off\nVision insurance\nApplication Question(s):\nPlease explain how your skills make you the right candidate for this position.
