This role blends hands-on quality engineering expertise with leadership responsibility, including team supervision, process improvement, lab oversight, and cross-functional collaboration. This position reports to the Quality Manager.\n\nWhat you will be doing\nLead, coach, and develop Quality Technicians, CMM Technicians, and Receiving Inspectors, including scheduling, attendance, and performance oversight.\nSupport development and maintenance of quality procedures, work instructions, and documentation.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce scrap, and improve operational efficiency.\nPartner with Engineering on new and existing programs to ensure capability and quality readiness.\nConduct capability studies and Measurement System Analysis (MSA), including gauge R&R evaluations.\nPerform and support internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO/TS standards.\nEnsure accurate completion of documentation, including training records, onboarding materials, and quality reports.\nWhat will make you successful?\n\nRequired Education/Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.\nMinimum of ten (10) years of experience in a quality role within a manufacturing site.\nProven ability to lead, mentor, and influence teams in a fast-paced production driven setting.\n\nPreferred Skills/Qualifications:\nPrior experience in quality assurance and/or a supervisory role.\nStrong knowledge of core quality tools; PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, PPAP, and APQP.\nExperience working with ERP systems (SAP/S4) and statistical software (Minitab).\nSolid understanding of manufacturing processes, inspection techniques, and compliance standards.\n\nEqual opportunities\n\nHydro in North America is an Equal Opportunity Employer where all phases of employment are based strictly upon the qualifications of the individual as related to the work requirements of the position.
