Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Machinist located in Birmingham, AL. The Machinist will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machinery and tools to fabricate and modify parts as per specifications. Additional responsibilities include reading and interpreting technical blueprints, setting up and calibrating machines, ensuring quality control of manufactured parts, and adhering to safety standards at all times. The Machinist will also work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines and achieve operational goals. Qualifications Proficiency in operating and programming CNC mills and lathesAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD designsExperience in inspecting machined parts for quality assurance and ensuring compliance with specificationsStrong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skillsFamiliarity with machine maintenance protocols and troubleshooting mechanical issuesKnowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environmentPrevious experience in manufacturing or precision machining is highly desirableHigh school diploma or GED required; relevant technical certifications are a plusGood communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environmentPhysical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods
