{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"d32b3074c5350c3fb0e7471c","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/d32b3074c5350c3fb0e7471c","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/d32b3074c5350c3fb0e7471c","title":"Project Engineer","description":"Responsibilities Participate and apply DPR’s Environmental Health and Safety Plan, performing weekly safety audits.\nUnderstand and enforce contracts between DPR and subcontractors and the owner.\nAssist the superintendent and project manager in implementing DPR policies and executing the project.\nOrganize duties of engineers, field office coordinator, project accountant, and other assigned staff, providing direction, prioritization, and performance feedback.\nParticipate in trainings and company meetings to facilitate growth.\nOrganize and electronically archive project files for easy access.\nPrepare, monitor, and update project schedules and reduce schedule constraints.\nPrepare, maintain, and implement document control entities such as daily reports, material procurement logs, submittal logs, as‑built documentation, testing and inspection logs, RFI logs, and change order logs.\nDistribute new drawings, changes, approved submittals, RFI responses, and other project information to all affected parties.\nIdentify, assemble, negotiate, and distribute change orders to both the owner and subcontractors.\nPrepare agendas, documents, meeting minutes, and actions for owner/architect/contractor meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, safety meetings, and staff meetings.\nParticipate in project cost control, maintain internal records, and work with subcontractors to ensure changes are paid.\nPrepare owner billing by assembling DPR costs, reviewing subcontractor invoices, and organizing documents per owner requirements.\nMonitor testing and inspection records and reports, safety inspection and accident logs, and recording building permit inspections and sign‑offs.\nQualifications Organized work approach with ability to adapt and adjust as required.\nDetailed knowledge of project scopes with hands‑on involvement.\nDesire to seek and resolve construction problems or conflicts arising during design and construction.\nGoal‑oriented approach to coordinate and resolve project issues promptly with designers, engineers, and owners.\nExcellent listening and strong communication skills.\nAbility to identify and resolve complex issues.\nEffective participation in team environment.\nProficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software (CMiC, Prolog or similar), scheduling software (Primavera or similar) and BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks or similar).\n2+ years of experience as a project engineer, preferably within DPR’s core markets.\nBachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering or related field.\nA strong work ethic, a \"can‑do\" attitude and a passion for construction.\nThis position is salaried.\nDPR is an equal‑opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
