Medical Malpractice and Litigation Paralegal (Hybrid)

Job Description Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal specializing in Medical Malpractice and Litigation to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting complex litigation cases, managing legal documentation, and conducting thorough research to ensure the success of our medical malpractice defense cases. Your energetic approach and strong organizational skills will help streamline case workflows, facilitate effective communication, and uphold the highest standards of legal support.You could be just the right applicant for this job Read all associated information and make sure to apply.ResponsibilitiesAssist attorneys with case preparation by organizing medical records, legal documents, and evidence related to medical malpractice and personal injury claimsConduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies across various practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, workers' compensation law, and moreDraft, review, and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, contracts, and correspondence with precision and clarityManage case files using document management systems; ensure all records are accurate, up-to-date, and properly filedSupport project management efforts by tracking deadlines, court dates, and procedural requirements to ensure timely filings and compliancePerform document review and data entry tasks efficiently while maintaining high levels of accuracy in a fast-paced law office environmentQualificationsAssociate degree or higher in paralegal studies or paralegal certificate preferred.Paralegal experience with a strong background in litigation, especially within medical malpractice or personal injury lawProficiency in legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis; familiarity with UCC law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, securities law, family law, landlord-tenant law, immigration law, estate planning, environmental law or other practice areas is a plusExperience with legal case management software; knowledge of document review processes is preferredExcellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear legal documents; proofreading and transcription skills are essentialStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlinesEffective interviewing abilities combined with professional phone etiquette for client interactionsFamiliarity with legal administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, document management systems, clerical support, and administrative assistanceDemonstrated research capabilities using Westlaw or LexisNexis; ability to analyze complex legal information accuratelyAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment; proactive problem-solving mindsetPlease submit a cover letter and resume to the Office Manager at Schultz & Pogue, LLP.Company DescriptionSchultz & Pogue specializes in litigation defense with a focus in the areas of medical malpractice.
