HR Specialist, People Operations & Talent
We are seeking a proactive, tech-savvy HR professional to support and improve people operations across a growing multi-state organization. This role will oversee payroll processing, onboarding, leave administration, people systems, reporting and analytics, employee communications, and special projects while helping modernize and streamline operational processes.The ideal candidate is organized and operationally strong, but also creative, curious, and comfortable using technology, social media, AI tools, and new ideas to improve how work gets done. This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, identifying opportunities for improvement, and independently moving ideas into action.Key ResponsibilitiesPeople OperationsSupport onboarding, employee changes, and offboarding processesMaintain employee records and ensure people systems data accuracyServe as a resource for employee HR-related questions and supportAssist in maintaining consistent people operations processes and internal communicationsPayroll & Employee SupportProcess payroll accurately and timelyReview payroll data, deductions, and timekeeping informationResolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll-related questionsCoordinate leave tracking and employee support activitiesSupport benefits administration and employee updatesReporting, Systems & Process ImprovementPrepare and maintain workforce reports and operational trackingSupport reporting and analytics related to turnover, headcount, and employee trendsIdentify opportunities to improve operational processes through technology, automation, and AI toolsAssist with optimization of people systems, workflows, and operational processesSupport coordination of HR vendors, systems, and related administrative processes, including tracking and submission of invoices and documentation as neededProjects & Employee EngagementSupport HR initiatives and special projects across the organizationAssist with employee communications and engagement initiativesHelp coordinate onboarding and employee recognition activitiesSupport recruiting coordination and job posting administration as neededContribute ideas that improve operational effectiveness and employee experienceQualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field requiredApproximately 3+ years of HR or related experienceMinimum 2 years of payroll processing experience requiredExperience working with HRIS/payroll systems (ADP preferred)Comfortable leveraging technology, digital tools, and social media platforms to support communication, recruiting, and operational effectivenessStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsThe above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job.
