Together, we’re shaping the future of dining and entertaining experiences.\n.\n\nPrimary of the Purpose\nThe Process Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production and product quality. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, identifying and building robust processes around equipment run-ability as well as driving initiatives to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction. This individual can also perform work associated with the design, building, repair, and maintenance of manufacturing plants and their machinery along with managing small – medium new equipment and product launches including trials\nEssential Job Duties\n\nProcess Improvement & Optimization:\n\nDuring new equipment and product launches, analyze and identify opportunities to improve production processes, reducing waste, enhancing efficiency, and lowering costs.\nUse methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to streamline operations.\nDevelop and implement process control plans, procedures, and facilitate new equipment & product launches within manufacturing sites.\nGathers and analyzes data from relevant sources to identify trends and implement changes to improve operating efficiency of facility, lower costs, and improve safety and quality performance.\nProvides technical support through problem resolution (Root Cause Analysis), preventive/predictive maintenance, and asset optimization, etc.\nCreates and modifies procedures as needed to maximize equipment and maintenance operations.\nMaintains a basic knowledge of the latest developments and technologies relative to machine reliability, asset management, and maintenance operations.\nAssists with New Product Development.\nCollaboration & Reporting:\n\nWork closely with production, design, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and improve product/process design.\nOn new product and equipment launches, develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality, process efficiency, and yield.\nPrepare detailed reports on launch trials, quality metrics, and improvement activities for management review during new equipment and product launches.\nTraining & Support:\n\nFacilitate training and guidance to production teams on quality standards, process improvements, and best practices for new product & equipment launches.\nEnsure that quality standards are integrated into all stages of product development and manufacturing.\nProvides active support and participation in safety-related projects as an active member of the Hoffmaster safety culture.\nFollows and maintains all Food Safety, GMP, and HACCP Guidelines.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nRequired Skills and Abilities\n\nBachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in process engineering, quality engineering, or manufacturing operations.\nKnowledge of quality management systems (QMS), process improvement techniques (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).\nProficiency with quality tools such as PFMEA and root cause analysis techniques.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.\nPerforms work under general supervision.\nStrong attention to detail and willingness to assist others.\nExperience in technical manufacturing support roles, including internships and co-ops.\nExperience working in paper or film converting and/or printing a plus.\nProficient user in Microsoft Office Suite and 2D CAD software, including DraftSight and/or AutoCAD.\nProficiency in 3D CAD software, including SolidWorks, a plus.\nStrong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.\n#HGISalary2920\n#LI-JP1\n\nLet’s connect!\nAt Hoffmaster, we believe every person deserves to feel successful.
