The Associate Material Handler performs material handling activities including receiving, storing, issuing, packaging and shipping materials (raw materials and finished goods).\nDuties and Responsibilities May Include:\nPicking, packaging and shipping orders from inventory.\nReceiving and dispersing parts for/from production and other departments.\nProcessing incoming purchase receipts and maintaining errorless inventory to support purchasing, planning, and production.\nOrganizing materials to maximize efficiencies while following general warehouse policies and procedures.\nTransporting materials between buildings.\nAssisting with monthly statistical inventory.\nReplenishing prime inventory locations.\nOperating forklift and man-up order picking equipment along with various other lifting equipment. Must be comfortable with heights.\nAssisting with mail room functions including processing incoming/outgoing mail and completing internal mail deliveries across the buildings/company.\nSustaining and maintaining 6S standards and all continuous improvement activities.\nTraining other employees when needed.\nPerforming other related tasks including but not limited to housekeeping tasks required to keep the work area safe, clean and organized.\nPerforms other duties and special projects as assigned.\nGeneral Expectations:\nMust be willing and able to continually rotate through a variety of warehousing processes, performing all types of tasks within a team environment.\nMust follow all safety policies.\nMust be able to work all scheduled overtime.\nDemonstrated ability to function with a positive attitude, in a high-performance work team environment with minimal errors.\nRequirements:\nWork Experience Requirements: Previous warehouse experience preferred, but not required.\nKnowledge Requirements: Mathematical ability to calculate shipping charges/weights, piece count, unit of measure, etc. Must safely handle and/or prepare for disposal all hazardous chemicals and waste using safe handling procedures. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.\nPhysical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 35-pounds unassisted.
