Training Coordinator
Vedder's Chicago office is seeking a Training Coordinator. The Training Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and scheduling training programs for firm personnel, including logistics, attendance tracking, and maintaining the Learning Management System. The Training Coordinator reports to the Senior Learning and Development Manager.As a Training Coordinator, your duties will include but not be limited to:Schedule and coordinate instructor-led training sessions including, but not limited to, new hire onboarding, technology training, support department training, and professional skills trainingSchedule and coordinate training webinars for technology updatesSchedule and coordinate training for in-person sessions across multiple offices and time zonesCommunicate training schedules, updates, and reminders to employeesCoordinate logistics such as meeting rooms, technology setup, and catering (when applicable)Manage training calendar, registrations, and attendance trackingAssist in maintaining training rooms, training equipment, class schedules, class rosters and training databases; keeps up to date with new industry standards and best practicesMaintain training records in the Learning Management System (LMS)Track completion rates, certifications, and compliance training requirementsGenerate reports on training completion, participation, and status updatesAssist in preparing training materials, including presentations, handouts, and job aidsAssist in creating training courses, quizzes, and assignments in the Learning Management SystemUpload training content and create courses, modules, and learning paths in the Learning Management SystemMaintain accurate and up-to-date training videos, webinar recordings and resources in the Learning Management System (LMS)Ensure accurate and up-to-date training documentationAssist in updating Quick Reference Cards (QRCs) and training handoutsEdit and update webinar recordings and training videos using a software suiteCompile training recommendations based on particular topics and requirementsAssist in evaluating training effectiveness through surveys and feedbackIdentify opportunities to streamline training coordination and effectivenessSupport ongoing professional development initiatives for support staffCollaborate with training specialists, subject matter experts, and department leaders to support training initiativesComplete other projects and duties as assigned by the Senior Learning and Development ManagerSkills & Competencies:Ability to manage multiple priorities with a high attention to detailStrong organizational and multitasking skillsAbility to work under pressure to meet strict and shifting deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsFlexibility to work additional hours as needed if work load requires itQualifications & Required Experience:1-3 years of experience in training coordination, learning and development, or administrative support roleBachelor’s degree preferredComputer Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in the following software:Proficient in Windows 10 or Windows 11 Enterprise operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, learning management systems, survey tools, and eLearning (video editing) softwareExperience with legal-specific document management programs and other legal applications preferredCompensation Range: $55,000/yr. to $65,000/yr.At Vedder, we believe in recognizing and rewarding our employees' contributions.
