This role focuses on test environments, system integration scaffolding, automation platforms, and CI/CD-integrated test infrastructure, rather than writing application test cases.\nThe ideal candidate is a strong infrastructure or platform engineer with a testing mindset—someone who enables teams to test reliably, repeatedly, and at scale.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, build, and maintain test infrastructure supporting software, platform, and infrastructure teams\nProvision and manage test environments that mirror production and operational systems\nBuild and maintain test harnesses, simulators, mocks, and stubs for external systems, data sources, and interfaces\nSupport testing of distributed systems, real-time data pipelines, and high-availability services\nIntegrate test infrastructure into CI/CD pipelines to enable automated integration, regression, and system testing\nCollaborate with software, platform, SRE, network, storage, and security teams to understand test requirements\nSupport testing across multiple domains, including:\nAPIs and microservices\nInfrastructure and platform services\nMessaging and streaming systems\nUser-facing applications\nMaintain environment configuration, versioning, and reproducibility\nTroubleshoot test environment failures and infrastructure issues\nImprove reliability, scalability, and maintainability of test platforms\nDocument test infrastructure designs, usage patterns, and operational procedures\nParticipate in Agile planning and cross-team technical discussions\nPerform other duties as assigned\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, or a related technical field\n5+ years of professional experience in infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or test infrastructure\nStrong experience working in Linux environments\nExperience building or operating test or non-production environments\nExperience with CI/CD systems and automated test execution\nFamiliarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)\nExperience scripting or automating workflows using Python, Bash, or similar\nStrong understanding of distributed systems concepts\nExperience using version control systems (e.g., Git)\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nAbility to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance\nCandidates who have any of the following skills will be preferred:\nExperience supporting IaaS, PaaS, or SRE teams\nExperience building simulators or mock services for external systems\nFamiliarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)\nExperience supporting network, storage, or systems-level testing\nExperience with performance, load, or resilience testing infrastructure\nExperience integrating test infrastructure with GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar\nFamiliarity with security testing environments (e.g., AppSec tooling integration)\nExperience working in Agile or DevSecOps environments\nActive DoD security clearance\nResumes, Cover Letters, and Applications which are generated by AI will not be considered for employment.\nColorado Residents: In any materials you submit, you may redact or remove age-identifying information such as age, date of birth, or dates of school attendance or graduation.
