Warehouse associate's work involves the skills of a forklift operator, order puller, picker, receiving, replenishment, inventory, and freight processor in a fast-paced distribution environment while following warehouse guidelines. The schedule available for this position is the day shift: Monday - Friday (8:30 a.m. to finish).\nPosition Summary:\nThe Warehouse Order Picker is responsible for assisting the shipping department(s) in the coordination of order picking, preparation, and shipping of the company's product in a manner consistent with speed emphasis and a goal-oriented attitude.\nResponsibilities:\nAssists in expediting the daily workflow of the shipping and receiving team.\nNavigates facilities designated inventory aisles in a safe and efficient manner to ensure an optimized picking schedule.\nItem processing, including but not limited to unboxing, tapping, labeling, packaging, and palletizing as needed.\nReceives instructions directly from the warehouse supervisor in regard to coordinating the movement of picked product products, in processing goods or completing shipments.\nAdministers strategies meant to optimize organizational inventory levels.\nUses working knowledge of the field's policies, procedures, and practices.\nGeneral warehouse maintenance to maintain a clean working area and facilities.\nRestoration of product returns, ensuring the product has been cleaned, tested, re-packaged, and sorted according to company policy.\nAssists in inventory duties such as cycle counting and others when needed.\nInbound container receiving which involves unloading the containers we receive through the lumping method and palletizing them according to company policy.\nThe job function listed is not exhaustive and shall also include any responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor.\n\nExpertise: Knowledge & Skills\nRequires full working knowledge of relevant business practices and procedures in the professional field.\nUses standard theories, principles, and concepts and integrates them to propose a course of action.\nProvides direct or indirect supervision to a process, assigning tasks and checking work at frequent intervals.\nJudgment is required in resolving all day-to-day problems.\n\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.\n5+ years of related experience required.\nApplicable industry/professional certification preferred.\nRegular and predictable attendance.\nAbility to work overtime.\nExperience in Machine Operating Equipment such as (Reach Trucks, Order Pickers, forklifts, ETC.)\n\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
