CNC Machinist 10-hour dayshift

Job Description Responsible for producing precision parts and components using manual machine tools and CNC equipment. This role supports maintenance, repair, and fabrication operations by interpreting technical drawings, setting up machines, and machining parts to exact specifications while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. As the Manual/CNC Machinist, you will have an opportunity to:Set up and operate manual machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and drill pressesSet up, program, and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders, and EDM's)Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work ordersSelect appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds, and materials for each jobSelect proper stock materials according to prints and drawingsPerform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauges)Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust machine settings as neededMaintain tight tolerances and ensure parts meet quality and dimensional requirements (GD&T)Perform routine machine maintenance/repairs and keep work areas clean and organizedWork closely with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to meet deadlines and troubleshoot machine failuresAlways follow all safety policies and proceduresAssist with repair, modification, or fabrication of equipment and parts as needed You have: High school diploma or GED requiredTechnical Certificate or higher education in Machine Tool Technology from a certified institute or 4+ years of formal machinist training or apprenticeship1+ years' experience as a manual machinist and/or CNC machinistStrong understanding of machining principles, materials, and toolingAbility to read and understand blueprints and GD&TExperience using precision measuring instrumentsBasic math skills including fractions, decimals, and geometryStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionBasic knowledge in CAD/CAM softwareBasic computer skillsShift flexibility to work overtime when neededAbility to stand for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 10 lbs without assistance and up to 50 lbs with assistance devicesManual dexterity and ability to use hand tools and measuring instrumentsAbility to work in an industrial environment (noise, heat, oil, metal shavings) You might have: (Provide a bullet point list of the qualifications that are nice to have but not necessary for someone to fill this position. Pay Range: Hourly Rate: $30.21 - $40.45 The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
