Baker Tilly is a leading advisory, tax, and assurance firm operating across the United States and major global financial centers.Job SummaryWe are seeking a Risk Advisory Services Principal to help clients assess risks, develop strategies and achieve objectives. The role involves leadership, client interaction, business development, and advisory across risk, governance, internal audit, compliance, IT, and cybersecurity.ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership, management, and strategic direction to deliver exceptional client service and drive financial success.Translate firm vision and strategy into actionable business plans; set objectives; and monitor progress.Collaborate with marketing to develop sales and marketing plans; pursue expansion within existing client base and new clients; actively participate in proposals.Coordinate firm resources to deliver optimal products and services.Provide training, development, feedback, and recognition to team members.Oversee profitability of the practice: utilization, rate setting, and fee collection.Work closely with client executives and managers to understand their businesses, identify and manage financial and operational risks, and ensure technology risks are addressed.Develop deep knowledge of clients' businesses and industries through direct interaction across multiple engagement components.Provide strategic advice on business processes and controls to improve risk management.Assess, manage, and optimize risks across operational audit, enterprise risk management, and SOX compliance.Review processes and controls against industry frameworks, identify gaps, and communicate recommendations.Sustain significant new business development: identify, source, pursue, and win risk advisory opportunities.Produce executive summaries and final reports; document engagement work papers in line with internal audit methodologies.Act as a trusted advisor, build relationships, and communicate client service.Lead professional presentations to internal and external audiences.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, or related field.CPA or CIA designation(s) required.12+ years of experience in risk advisory, internal/external audit, business process reengineering, or internal controls; experience in technology, real estate, life sciences, financial services, or healthcare preferred.7+ years of supervisory experience, mentoring, and counseling associates.Successful track record of building and growing a Risk Advisory practice, including team, client base, and revenue management.Proven track record of new business development.Strong leadership, client service, continuous learning, ethical commitment, and urgency for quality and timely completion.Ability to travel as needed for client engagements.Baker Tilly is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
