Grow. with us.To save time applying, Toyota does not offer sponsorship of job applicants for employment-based visas or any other work authorization for this position at this time.Who We’re Looking ForToyota’s Corporate Shared Services Division is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Construction Senior Engineer.The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver construction projects across the North American portfolio in accordance with industry and company standards.Reporting to the Facilities Planning & Construction Manager, the person in this role will support the People & Property Services Department's objective to manage up to $20M in construction projects annually at primarily non-manufacturing locations.What You’ll Be DoingLead construction projects from scope development through completion and turnoverDevelop and administer project scope documents, budgets, bids, permits, contracts, contractor relationships, executive-level status reports, and KPIs for each assigned projectOversee contractors to ensure construction projects are delivered in accordance with KPIs for cost, schedule, specifications, standards and safetyConduct project status meetings with stakeholders to ensure standardization, communication and expectations among multiple groups and vendorsLiaison with site leaders/customers and regional contacts for timely coordination of all construction activitiesProvide subject matter expertise related to engineering and architecture for construction projectsWhat You BringExperience in pre-construction planning, project/construction management and building design to ensure projects are designed and built to specificationsAbility to concurrently execute projects of varied size and type at multiple locations via standardized methodsStrong problem-solving skills in support of resolving issues with sustainable countermeasures and mitigating risk related to project schedules, cost, and safetyCompetence in reading and interpreting technical drawings to understand design implications, summarize key points and communicate findings/issuesKnowledge of building codes, trade sequencing, change management, and OSHA StandardsFinancial management skills that include construction cost estimating and accurate forecasting of budget variancesProcess development and implementation skills for continuous improvement of construction project deliveryCustomer service approach to project support and commitment to teamworkDegree in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Architecture or Construction ManagementAdded bonus if you have Design, planning and acceptance for large mechanical systems to include piping, chilled water, compressed air, BMS systems and equipment commissioningPlanning and acceptance for large electrical systems (including single line diagrams), central plants and equipment commissioning to include transformers, switchgears and power distribution systems, 480VAC and higherProficiency in construction cost estimatingPrior work experience with a general contractor and/or architectural firmProject experience in childcare centers, dining facilities, light industrial, warehouse operations, security installations and/or office interior renovationsOSHA 30 certificationProfessional Engineering License, Architecture License or Project Management Professional CertificationWhat We’ll BringDuring your interview process, our team can fill you in on all the details of our industry-leading benefits and career development opportunities.
