This position is responsible for operating and monitoring rewinder equipment to produce finished paper rolls that meet quality and production specifications. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience in a manufacturing environment.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nSafely operate, set up, and monitor paper machine rewinder equipment.\r\nMonitor machine speed, tension, roll formation, and other operating conditions to maintain quality and production requirements.\r\nInspect finished rolls for defects, proper dimensions, appearance, and winding quality.\r\nPerform roll changes, threading, web handling, and other rewinder operations.\r\nIdentify and respond to sheet breaks, jams, equipment issues, and quality concerns.\r\nMake necessary machine adjustments to maintain product quality and production efficiency.\r\nPerform routine equipment inspections and assist with troubleshooting and preventive maintenance activities.\r\nSafely handle finished rolls and materials using approved material handling equipment.\r\nMaintain accurate production and quality records.\r\nMaintain a clean and safe work area and follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout, machine guarding, and PPE requirements.\r\nWork closely with Production, Maintenance, and Quality teams to minimize downtime and support production goals.\r\nParticipate in required training and continuous improvement activities.\r\nPerform other duties as assigned.\r\nRequirements\r\nHigh school diploma or GED preferred.\r\nPrevious paper, tissue, converting, rewinding, or industrial manufacturing experience preferred.\r\nExperience operating a rewinder, winder, slitter rewinder, or similar industrial equipment strongly preferred.\r\nStrong mechanical aptitude with the ability to recognize, troubleshoot, and communicate equipment and process concerns.\r\nExperience with HMI screens, computerized machine controls, or automated production equipment preferred.\r\nKnowledge of paper roll handling, web handling, winding, and roll quality is a plus.\r\nAbility to read and follow production specifications, operating procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.\r\nStrong attention to detail, communication, and problem solving skills.\r\nAbility and willingness to work rotating 12 hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.\r\nAbility to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, and climb.\r\nAbility to safely lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.\r\nAbility to wear all required personal protective equipment.\r\nIndustrial paper manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, humidity, paper dust, and moving equipment.\r\nRegular work around paper machines, rewinders, large paper rolls, conveyors, and high speed production equipment.\r\nRequires
