This position requires advanced technical knowledge and hands-on experience maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and testing baggage handling systems and their associated components in a fast-paced airport environment.\nResponsibilities Perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and testing of the Baggage Handling System (BHS) and associated equipment.\nProvide accurate and timely written reports related to safety, operational, and maintenance activities.\nInterpret equipment and operational data and recommend maintenance schedule or activity adjustments to management.\nUpdate and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance activity schedules.\nOrder and maintain an inventory of spare parts necessary for effective BHS operation.\nEnsure all Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) procedures are scheduled, completed, and documented.\nMaintain compliance with all company, airport, and regulatory safety requirements.\nAssist in identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.\nPhysical Requirements Candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, including but not limited to:\nLifting 50 to 100 pounds\nBending, reaching, crawling, and climbing\nWalking and standing for extended periods\nClimbing ladders and stairs\nSitting as required for documentation and reporting\nSpeaking, hearing, and visual acuity necessary to safely perform job duties\nRequired Skills & Education Experience & Education Five (5) or more years of relevant industrial maintenance experience\nHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required\nTechnical Skills Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills\nMechanical troubleshooting experience including: Belts\nBearings\nPulleys\nDrives\nGearmotors\n\nIndustrial electrical troubleshooting experience including: 480V three-phase motors and control circuits\nElectrical schematic reading and interpretation\nVariable Frequency Drives (VFDs)\nMotor starters\nInput/Output systems\n\nWorking knowledge of PLC systems and operations preferred\nFamiliarity with: SCADA systems\nIndustrial network architecture\nServers\nEthernet and fiber optic networks\nManaged network switches\nWorkstations\nBarcode scanning systems\n\nExperience utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for: Preventive maintenance\nCorrective maintenance\nScheduling\nInventory management\nWork order documentation\n\nAdditional Qualifications Excellent customer service and communication skills\nBasic supervisory and leadership skills involving scheduling, organization, communication, and computer systems\nAbility to adhere to all safety regulations and safe work practices\nValid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)\nAbility to pass all airport-required background checks, security screenings, and TSA-related clearances\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require current or future sponsorship for employment\nWhy Join Vanderlande?
