We offer a professional and fun work environment with frequent lunch and learns, socials, contests, outings, and other events.\n\nTypical Day in the Life\n\nInitiates client engagement meetings and determines timelines, objectives, and expectations of an engagement.\n\nPerforms audit, review, or compilation procedures for clients.\n\nPlans and performs all phases of an engagement, including workpaper preparation, financial statement preparation, and report preparation.\n\nAnalyzes and prepares trial balances, complex financial statements, and audit reports using audit software programs such as Word and Excel.\n\nReconciles accounting information to control accounts.\n\nConducts fraud interviews on an as‑needed basis with CEO, accountants, and other employees.\n\nReviews staff work, prepares high‑risk audit sections, and drafts financial statements.\n\nProvides financial analysis upon completion of fieldwork to improve client internal controls and accounting procedures.\n\nRequests and collects appropriate information to diagnose and solve client problems.\n\nCo‑ordinates various activities to meet client needs within a specified time frame.\n\nTrains lower-level staff on the various aspects of an audit and delegates work based on availability and experience.\n\nUnderstands and applies work procedures and effectively tailors the plan as necessary.\n\nMaintains awareness of general business trends and issues and applies that knowledge to client issues and solutions.\n\nPerforms field work at client locations as necessary.\n\nNetworks, builds relationships, and attracts new clients or business to the Firm.\n\nAttends training seminars, professional development, and networking events.\n\nEnsures timely and accurate performance on assigned projects.\n\nMaintains compliance with project budgets, turnaround times, and deadlines.\n\nWho You Are\n\nWell‑rounded knowledge of auditing standards and accounting principles.\n\nAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co‑workers and clients.\n\nDemonstrates critical and analytical thinking skills.\n\nAbility to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.\n\nValid Certified Public Accountant License or working toward obtaining a CPA license required.\n\nIn addition to all of this, you have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, and have 2‑4 years of experience in public accounting audit work.\n\nMust be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.\n\nBenefits and Compensation\nOur compensation philosophy emphasizes competitive and equitable pay. Eide Bailly complies with all local and state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges.
