Role: Electrical Design Engineer, Medical productsLocation: Bedford, Massachusetts, United States (On-site 4 days per week)Compensation & Benefits: salary range of $150,000–$165,000, depending on factors such as experience, education, location, and discipline. Other benefits package may include health and vision insurance; life insurance; a 401(k) plan and paid time off.About the RoleWe are looking for a highly motivated, creative, and innovative Design Engineer to join our partners team in Bedford, MA who have been producing medical equipment for the last 20 years. This role is ideal for someone with a strong passion for innovative hardware development. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing new hardware solutions, being part of a talented engineering department.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:Contributing across all phases of the hardware product development lifecycle, including requirements, architecture, design, implementation, and verificationSupporting hardware development activities carried out by outsourced partnersProposing innovative ideas to enhance hardware products and improve development processesCollaborating effectively within a diverse team while also working independentlyQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering (or equivalent)5+ years of hardware design experience in industries such as communications, or medical devicesStrong background in PCB design, schematic & layout ( Orcad or Altium preferably)Good Analog circuit design skillsHands-on experience with diagnostics, debugging, and troubleshooting using standard lab equipmentKnowledge of full product development processes, including Design for Test (DFT), Design for Manufacturability (DFM), environmental considerations, EMI/EMC, and product qualification testingFamiliarity with formal hardware development processesStrong written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentationPreferred QualificationsExperience designing medical productsFamiliarity with lean or agile development methodologiesExperience working with offshore teams, outsourcing partners, or third-party vendorsWe cannot offer sponsorship for this role.Please send across a resume if interested.
