This position is based in Augusta, GA in supporting the Augusta-Richmond County contract. The Assistant General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the contract, facility and safety of personnel and passengers, customer service and managing the financials.\nTransdev is proud to offer:\nCompetitive compensation package of minimum $68,000 per year– maximum $85,000 per year\nBenefits include:\nVacation: minimum of two (2) weeks\nSick days: 5 days\nHolidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating\nOther standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-\nterm disability, voluntary long-term disability.\nBenefits may vary depending on location policy. The above represents the standard Corporate Policy.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDirects daily operations management.\nProvides strategic planning and direction to the operations staff.\nManages contract compliance.\nHas shared responsibility for scheduling, performance evaluation, and staffing responsibilities for the facility's management staff.\nOther duties as required.\nTravel requirement outside of immediate area (less than 5%):\nQualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or GED required\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation or related field preferred.\n5+7 years of supervisory or management level experience in the vehicle maintenance and repair industry\nAdd 5 years’ experience of vehicle / heavy equipment repair\nKnowledge of relevant federal and state employment laws\nThorough knowledge of laws, ordinances and regulations underlying the transit operation\nThorough knowledge of the methods of operation of the transit system’s staff and operational departments\nAbility to deal with state and local government\nAbility to manage cost control and financial/budget experience handling multiple locations\nWorking knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs\nStrong written and oral communication skills; excellent presentation skills; ability to influence people at all levels of the organization\nAbility to organize and perform work efficiently; strong attention to details\nAbility to navigate Labor Relations issues and work effectively with union partners, including labor grievances, and negotiations.\nSubject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
