As a key member of the Boardman Site Leadership Team, this role helps shape and drive the site’s vision, strategic direction, and performance objectives toward achieving a world class EHS culture.\nHere’s a day in the life:\nDevelop and execute TCCA’s strategy for proactive employee engagement in EHS programs using industry best practices and regulatory guidance.\nAdminister all site EHS programs—including training, workers’ compensation, incentive programs, and compliance with OR‑OSHA, OR‑DEQ, and U.S. EPA regulations—to support corporate EHS objectives.\nConduct EHS audits, inspections, and hazard assessments to identify risks and drive continuous improvement.\nDevelop, deliver, monitor, and audit EHS and security training to ensure all employees meet annual compliance requirements.\nSupport and guide the site EHS Committee, ensuring strong communication, engagement, and follow‑through on action items.\nAssist in developing, tracking, and reporting EHS metrics that highlight trends, improvement opportunities, and progress on goals.\nManage Workers’ Compensation processes, including injury investigations, case tracking, medical appointments, and return‑to‑work documentation.\nAdminister and continuously improve site-specific and shared security programs, ensuring alignment with corporate policies.\nPartner with site leadership to enhance EHS awareness, accountability, and understanding of EHS responsibilities across the facility.\nStay current on regulatory requirements and industry trends to promote informed employee involvement and maintain compliance.\nKnowledge, skills, and abilities:\nBachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience\n5 years’ experience in the EHS function requried\nComputer proficiency and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint\nWorking Conditions:\nThis role operates in plant offices and department work areas located within production or warehouse environments. The workspace includes a desk and computer but may not always be temperature‑controlled and can involve exposure to loud background noise. The position requires regular entry into the production facility, including walking on uneven or slippery surfaces and navigating areas with active forklift traffic. The role requires primarily sitting, with periods of standing and walking to complete tasks. Occasional stooping, bending, and crouching may be needed for filing or accessing supplies. The position may also require occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.\nFacility & Food Safety Responsibilities\nFollow and uphold Employee Safety policies and procedures outlined in the employee safety meetings, employee handbook, CBAs, posted in the work environment, and/or as directed by supervisory staff.\nReport any food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.\nFollow and uphold procedures outlined in the Food Safety Plan and the Food Quality Plan and any other programs that support the SQF system and other 3rd party programs/audits.\nManagement/Supervisors:\nResponsible for taking necessary action on all food safety and quality problems reported or observed.\nInsure a trained designee is appointed to cover for absences or vacancies.\nPhysical requirements:\nSitting\nStanding and/or walking\nLifting 25 lbs.\nVision for machine or computer operations\nHearing\nIndustry leading benefit and reward programs:\nWe offer outstanding benefits to our employees.
