Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Programs provides operational leadership and oversight of Habitat’s housing programs, ensuring projects are well coordinated, compliant, on schedule, and aligned with organizational priorities. This position works closely with staff, volunteers, contractors, partner families, and community partners to move Habitat’s mission from vision to implementation. The ideal candidate brings strong project management skills, knowledge of residential construction and/or affordable housing, and the ability to manage multiple programs and relationships while working collaboratively as part of a small, mission-driven team.\nABOUT HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF LA PLATA COUNTY Serving La Plata County, HFHLPC is an independent, locally run 501(c)(3) affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. We help families of low and moderate incomes become homeowners by building and partnering to create affordable housing and fostering partnerships that promote spiritual values and individual responsibility.\nRESPONSIBILITIES Construction & Project Management Develop and recommend construction plans to the Executive Director and Board of Directors.\nCoordinate the construction of housing units by managing volunteers, contractors, staff, and material procurement.\nOversee construction schedules, budgets, quality, and safety.\n\nHomeowner Services & Compliance Lead homeowner orientation, underwriting, and selection processes.\nEnsure compliance with all requirements related to mortgage origination and house closings.\nServe as a liaison and support for partner families throughout the homeownership process.\n\nIII.
