The company also operates AMC Studios, our in-house studio, production, and distribution operation behind acclaimed and fan-favorite originals including The Walking Dead Universe and the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and AMC Networks International, our international programming business.We are currently seeking a Manager, PR to join our Public Relations team based in our New York, New York office.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESContribute to planning and development of campaign strategiesManage and coordinate communication with series cast and cast reps on campaign beats, key dates, interview requests, etc.Oversee delivery of all assets for press appearancesDraft and gather written press materials, including releases, tune-in alerts, show descriptions, biosDevelop and foster relationships with media, pitch assigned media and follow up to secure coverageCoordinate publicity appearances and interviews with talent and producersAssist in coordinating set visits; staff as neededAssist in arranging and staffing talent interviewsOrganize asset calendars and coordinate asset rollout with other key departmentsSelect and pull series clips for media placement QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)Bachelor's degree in PR or Communications5+ years working in communications or public relations, ideally in the television/entertainment spaceExtensive television/film background and knowledge of the entertainment industryStrong understanding of traditional media and knowledge of key members of the pressAbility to interface effectively with senior executives and staff at all levelsGeneral understanding of entertainment industry and celebrities, influencers, etc.Strategic thinking with creative problem-solving skillsStrong managerial skills; ability to delegate and motivate non-direct reportsCollaborative leadership style across departments and functionsStrong understanding, knowledge of and experience with non-traditional, direct-to-consumer outreachAbility to work under pressure and manage deadlinesSelf-starter, who is highly organized and a clear communicator with a strong competitive driveAbility to develop working relationships with professionals in the TV and film industryThe base compensation range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 commensurate with experience.
