You will be working in our Agile engineering team based in Germany, which is specialized in media workflows and media processing, building a scalable cloud-native SaaS solution for media indexing, transcoding, and media-aware workflows.\nThis role combines test automation, exploratory testing, release validation, frontend and API testing, and system-level quality work. We are looking for someone who can understand complex product workflows, identify quality risks, work closely with developers, and improve release confidence without slowing down delivery.\nRequirements:\n5+ years of experience in software quality engineering, test automation, SDET, or a similar technical QA role\nStrong experience designing, implementing, and maintaining automated tests for web applications, APIs, and backend services\nGood working knowledge of JavaScript/Node.js and the JavaScript ecosystem\nExperience with API testing, integration testing, regression testing, and exploratory testing\nExperience testing frontend applications, backend services, and cloud-based systems\nAbility to understand complex systems and identify quality risks across user workflows, services, data flows, and infrastructure\nExperience working with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into development and release workflows\nAbility to investigate failures using logs, metrics, test reports, browser developer tools, and other debugging information\nExperience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and a desire to work within a highly collaborative, fast-paced team\nPassionate about delivering high-quality software and improving release confidence\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills\nAbility to work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, define acceptance criteria, and improve testability\nA degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or another degree and/or equivalent experience\nNice to Haves:\n2+ years of experience in full-stack application QA demonstrated through previous projects\nKnowledge of software deployment in a microservices environment\nFamiliarity with Microservices, REST APIs, and Software as a Service applications\nFamiliarity with deploying cloud services (particularly AWS) and serverless technologies\nWorking knowledge of React and modern frontend testing approaches\nExperience with TestCafe, Jest, Playwright or similar frontend and end-to-end testing tools\nWorking knowledge of Java\nFamiliarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized test environments\nExperience with media formats, media workflows or media processing pipelines\nExperience with performance, scalability, reliability, or resilience testing\nExperience improving CI/CD reliability and maintainability\nExperience with AI coding tools\nResponsibilities:\nAnalyze technical requirements documents to identify high-level test scenarios, participate in test plan definition\nBuild manual test scripts by identifying expected results and corresponding test data for execution.
