The employee would be responsible for loading and unloading metal parts, changing tooling, reading and interpreting design blueprints, and adjusting the machine settings for the needed specifications.\nCNC Machinist General Responsibilities:\nLearn to read work orders and blueprints (materials, specifications, and geometric dimensions and tolerances) to machine products accurately\nAssist in inspections of equipment, materials, and products\nPrepares and loads raw materials and parts onto the machines\nMonitors the machines while they execute the tasks and makes any necessary adjustments to produce a better result\nChoosing, changing, and loading the correct cutting tools for the job\nLearn to utilize precision measuring tools to inspect and measure products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly and meets quality standards\nDocuments actions by completing production work orders\nChecks, cleans, and maintains machinery daily to ensure functionality\nCapable of setting up mills and lathes by installing fixtures, attachments, and tools necessary to complete jobs according to specifications is a plus\nCNC Machinist Requirements\nPossess a High School Diploma or equivalent, certification or technical school in Machining\n1-2 years of experience working with CNC machines or in a manufacturing plant preferred.\nMechanical Aptitude\nAble to read and interpret work instructions\nFluent in both written and spoken English\nPrevious experience with lathes, mills, press breaks, plasma machines, small hand tools.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities are a plus\nLearn and apply the latest relevant knowledge to machining\nPerform Math skills in standard and metric measurements\nAble to accurately read/use a tape measure, calipers and micrometers\nBasic computer skills\nPassion for doing a job well\nA \"self-motivated\" team player\nAble to work effectively in Ohio climate conditions\nAble to stand for long periods of time, crawl, squat, and climb without tiring easily\nAble to lift 50 pounds with reasonable accommodations\nMust pass a background check and drug test\n\nDISCLAIMER: The preceding job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
