If you are eager to learn, experiment, and continuously improve—especially through the use of emerging AI tools we encourage you to apply.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nContribute to the design, development, and implementation of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems.\r\nDeliver high-quality, testable code using secure development practices and modern engineering standards.\r\nParticipate in constructive and inclusive code reviews that encourage learning and shared ownership.\r\nBuild Proof-of-Concept solutions and reusable patterns to accelerate development and innovation.\r\nPrepare and maintain architecture, design, and system documentation; collaborate with architects to ensure alignment and approvals.\r\nCoordinate with onshore and offshore engineering partners in a respectful and collaborative manner.\r\nDevelop CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Bamboo and GitHub Actions.\r\nWrite and maintain automated unit tests to support high-quality delivery.\r\nParticipate fully in Agile ceremonies and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and psychological safety.\r\ntech\r\nWhat you have\r\nRequired Qualifications\r\n4+ years of related experience required; BS/MS degree preferred or equivalent experience.\r\n3+ years of professional hands-on experience developing and reviewing Java code, with a focus on clean, maintainable design.\r\nExperience working with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, MongoDB).\r\nExperience using Spring or Spring Boot frameworks.\r\nExperience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices, ideally in a cloud-based environment.\r\nExperience developing CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Bamboo, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, or Travis CI.\r\nUnderstanding of distributed systems, integration patterns (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka), and unit testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit).\r\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in an Agile environment.\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\nExperience using AI tools to enhance code quality, automate testing, or accelerate development.\r\nFamiliarity with cloud-native development or containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).\r\nExperience with monitoring and performance engineering tools (e.g., AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana, DataDog, PCF metrics).\r\nExperience with test-driven development (TDD), behavior-driven development (BDD), or frameworks such as Cucumber or Selenium.\r\nFront-end development experience with Angular or React.\r\nCross-functional communication and collaboration\r\nIn addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.\r\nWhat's in it for you\r\nAt Schwab, you're empowered to shape your future.
