This position is directly involved in the execution of capital projects and is responsible for organizing documentation and developing a structured management system to support operational excellence. The role requires strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills and the ability to thrive in a highly dynamic life science R&D environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nFacilities Operations\nWork closely with IFM partner and BD management to ensure continuous facilities operations\n\nDevelop detailed understanding of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life safety, etc.)\n\nDevelop detailed understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance activities with internal teams and vendors\n\nParticipate in facility inspections and report deficiencies\n\nSupport and oversee infrastructure upgrades and renovations\n\nSecurity Oversight\nSupport and maintain physical security systems (access control, CCTV, alarms)\n\nCoordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure site security protocols are followed\n\nAssist in incident response and documentation related to security events\n\nEnvironmental Health & Safety (EHS)\nSupport implementation of EHS programs and policies\n\nEnsure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements\n\nParticipate in safety audits, inspections, and emergency preparedness drills\n\nOversight of documentation for hazardous materials, waste disposal, and safety training\n\nCapital Project Execution\nLead and support execution of CAPEX projects from planning through closeout\n\nCoordinate with stakeholders, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely delivery\n\nTrack budgets, schedules, and milestones\n\nEnsure proper documentation and reporting for all capital initiatives\n\nFinancial Support\nAssist in tracking and managing OPEX and CAPEX budgets\n\nSupport procurement processes, including vendor quotes, purchase orders, and invoice reconciliation\n\nContribute to budget forecasting and cost control measures\n\nIT Systems & Digital Tools\nManage and support server-hosted applications including: Building Management Systems (BMS)\nEnvironmental Monitoring Systems\nCamera Surveillance Systems\nDoor Access Control Systems\nAsset Management Platforms\n\nCoordinate with IT for system updates, backups, and integrations\nUtilize Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook) for documentation, collaboration, and reporting\nDocumentation & Management Systems\nOrganize and maintain facility-related documentation, drawings, and records\n\nDevelop and implement a structured management system for tracking work orders, inspections, and compliance\n\nEnsure data integrity and accessibility across platforms\n\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree required in Facilities Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Journeyman Trade Certification in electrical, plumbing or HVAC with facilities experience would also be acceptable.\n\n3+ years of experience in facilities operations, building maintenance, or a related field\n\nFamiliarity with building systems and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)\n\nExperience or aptitude in EHS, physical security systems, and financial tracking\n\nDirect experience with CAPEX project execution and documentation management\n\nWorking knowledge of server-hosted applications and Microsoft 365 tools\n\nStrong problem-solving and critical thinking skills\n\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced life science R&D environment\n\nLaboratory knowledge or experience is a plus\n\nOSHA 10/30 certification or willingness to obtain is a plus\n\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs\n\nFrequent walking, standing, bending, and climbing ladders\n\nAbility to work in various environmental conditions (mechanical rooms, rooftops, etc.)\n\nWhy Join Us?
