Consistency is a key element in a positive guest experience, which is achieved by always following recipes. A bartender must be friendly, outgoing and possess good communication skills. A bartender should be organized and able to think and act quickly and effectively in a fast-paced environment.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nProvide exceptional customer service to all hotel guests, making their stay as comfortable and accommodating as possible while achieving team and Brand goals.\nPerform quality assurance (QA) requirements for department.\nInteract/socialize with guests.\nGreet and serve guests as demand is needed.\nServe alcohol responsibly, reaching out to management for intervention, if necessary.\nMix, garnish and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks for guests of bar and dining room following standard recipes.\nPerform a variety of food preparation duties, such as preparing hot and cold foods, hors d’oeuvres and drinks.\nImmaculately cleans and maintains kitchen, equipment, utensils, service and eating areas.\nOperate beer dispenser, brew coffee, tea, etc.\nOperate cooking equipment.\nWash and sterilize stemware and dishes.\nOrder supplies, puts up stock, and keeps records.\nMaintain Brand Standards and Health Department requirements.\nWill be required to run Micros (register) collecting money from guest immediately and balancing cash.\nWill be required to stock and setup the bar.\nArrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in agreement with Brand standards.\nMay be required to break down meeting rooms; handle evening coffee breaks or refresh, etc.\nUse empowerment to exceed associate/guest expectations and resolve conflicts.\nProper administration of key control.\nRemain highly visible and be readily available for guests at all times.\nTake initiative to offer assistance or answer questions throughout the hotel.\nWillingness and ability to train new associates.\nThoroughly understand and implement the Brand service culture.\nPerform all shift checklist responsibilities.\nAssist other associates as the workload dictates to ensure the team’s entire workload is completed daily.\nPerform other duties as required.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nNone\nQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily.
