If a position is listed with both office locations and virtual offerings, Comcast may be willing to consider candidates who live greater than 100 miles from the office for the remote option.Job Summary DUTIES:Provide technical leadership in validating product quality by analyzing and testing the quality of the code baseDevelop automation frameworks and applications using Java, JavaScript, and NodeJSWriting automated tests using CypressDevelop automated API testing for RESTful APIs using Postman or REST AssuredAutomate build, test and deployment processes using Jenkins pipelinesAutomate testing builds using ConcourseUse Agile Methodologies including Scrum or KanbanUse SQL to query databases, verify data integrity, and perform database operations in automation scriptsPerform test automation for Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using CucumberPerform version control using GitHubWrite, debug, and deploy software applications using Visual Studio IDEUse Generative AI (GenAI) algorithms to generate test cases, generate structured and un-structured test data, detect anomalies, and execute autonomous testsWrite code that will be executed in an automated and repeatable fashion which will reduce manual testing efforts and increase code quality and consistencyDevelop and maintain code that validates front-end, middleware and database systems, using the latest tools and programming languagesProvide input into various software development lifecycle stagesPartner with software engineers to write efficient automation code using coding standards and best practicesReport test execution results to senior leadershipRepair complex broken automation scripts and performs peer reviews of automation codebaseAct as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environmentWrite and edit complex, automated test code, using the same standards as a Software Engineer, allowing repeatable, reliable testing solutions to test the wide functionality of products and software in accordance with specifications and technical requirements, maintaining automation codebase in a version control system, which include creating complex SQL queries for validation of databases and writing SOAP and RESTful API automated scriptsBuild new tools to assist in faster test automation and functional testing efforts and innovate on existing automation processesReview project progress, evaluates results and recommends corrections in technical applications and analysis to executive teamsPerform code reviews of automation scripts and front-end codebasesWork closely with Test Engineers and Development teams to build test script hooks that help in earlier and easier testingAnalyze broken test cases and diagnose and repair to working orderDiagnose and repair complex bugs within production codeDrive scrum meetings as Scrum Master, perform backlog grooming and sprint planningServe as a guide and mentor for junior-level engineersPosition is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policyRequirements Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and five (5) years of experience developing automation frameworks and applications using Java, JavaScript, and NodeJS; writing automated tests using Cypress; developing automated API testing for RESTful APIs using Postman or REST Assured; performing Agile Methodologies including Scrum or Kanban; using SQL to query databases, verify data integrity, and perform database operations in automation scripts; performing test automation for Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber; performing version control using GitHub; writing, debugging, and deploying software applications using Visual Studio IDEDisclaimer: This information has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this role.
