{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"d1f96c3ed7e3805e6f6f2548","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/d1f96c3ed7e3805e6f6f2548","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/d1f96c3ed7e3805e6f6f2548","title":"Senior Linux System Admin","description":"Role and Responsibilities\nJob Title: Linux System Administrator\nJob Code: AS20212402-57131\nJob Location: Arlington, TX\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nTo support the installation, optimization, integration, troubleshooting, backup, recovery, modifications, security, and upgrading of development support systems and simulation components to provide services that enable programs to effectively develop simulation software solutions.\nWorking with complex configuration environments; build servers, virtual labs, generalizing tools to accommodate multiple languages and architectures, and assuring tools and processes scale to accommodate the evolving needs of our diverse teams.\nWork closely with the production release and operations teams to establish and deploy consistent, high quality, and packaged builds for our internal and external customers.\nCreation of media and procedures for execution of training device coldstart both in-plant and at customer facilities.\nWork with other team members to design and document development system architectures and topologies for both general and simulation specific purposes.\nQualifications and Education Requirements\nA BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent work experience\nLinux and Windows System Administration, knowledge of hardware, as well as expertise in command line tools.\nScripting (such as Bash/Powershell/Perl)\nAccount, password and permission management: Users Creation, Group Creation, Permissions, Creations of Folders.\nLinux/Windows Integration: File sharing, authentication.\nPerform problem diagnosis, troubleshooting and resolution\nMaintain documentation for systems and data storage process and procedures\nCreate/Maintain Documentation for system setup and deploy.\nExperience with System Hardening\nStrong communication skills to effectively interact with peers, projects, vendors, and other teams\nEvent log, audit log and syslog analysis\nAbility to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET Clearance is required\nPreferred Skills\nStrong RedHat Linux and Windows Server System Administration, TCP/IP Networking, shell scripting\nExperience with running small network-isolated closed room datacenters.\nExperience with Domain Controller setup and configuration of Group Policy Objects\nConfigure, manage, monitor, and optimize on-line, near-online and off-line storage systems (NAS, SAN, NFS etc).\nStrong problem solving and analysis skills\nStrong communication skills to effectively interact with peers, projects, vendors, and other teams\nStrong ability to gather and quickly analyze system and software problems\nSecurity+ Certification\nOS (Such as Red Hat or Windows) or networking certifications\nExperience configuring Cisco and/or HP Networking\nStrong writing skills to effectively create/update documentation for setup procedures and other system documentation.\nExperience with System Hardening with standards such as the DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG).\nExperience with vulnerability assessment tools such as ACAS and SCAP.\nExperience as a Team Lead to include task and budget management\nExperience with Windows and Linux Patch Management (such as WSUS and YUM).\nInstall and maintain Server OS and configuration using automated installation tools such as Kickstart and Windows Automated Installation Kit (WAIK)\nInstall and maintain version control tools such as Rational ClearCase/ClearQuest or Atlassian and Perforce/Git\nAbility to work independently and meet/manage department obligations to assigned programs.\nAbility to context change and support multiple product lines.\nSecurity Responsibilities\nMust comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures.
