Full Time Histology Technician (Overnight)

POSITION OPENING Histology Technician (11PM-7AM) Serious Inquiries Only Job Description: Hiring for full-time HT-Certified Histotechnician, High Complexity preferred Requirements: Certified HT(ASCP) required. High Complexity Technician qualification preferred. A minimum of (2) years experience working in an anatomic pathology laboratory. Dermatology histology experience preferred. IHC-Q preferred. Must be able to work independently. Attention to detail is crucial to this position. Completion of all necessary coursework and training to be a practicing Histotechnician. Grossing experience (preferred). Performances: Prepares histologic slides, performs special stains from tissue sections obtained for microscopic examination and diagnosis by pathologists. Experience in immunohistochemistry. Responsible for all aspects of histology lab operations: Maintains all records regarding samples received and processed. Maintains permanent histology blocks. Maintains adequate inventory of chemicals and other supplies. Ensures maintenance of laboratory equipment Prepares standard solutions and washes/cleans laboratory containers and equipment as required.
