In this role, you will design, implement, automate, and maintain robust security solutions that protect our organization’s critical assets, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our network infrastructure.\nKey Responsibilities\n1. Design & Implementation of Network Security Solutions\nArchitect, implement, and maintain network security architectures, policies, and procedures using Palo Alto firewalls and Azure networking technologies.\nDevelop and maintain secure configurations, access controls, and routing protocols.\nEvaluate emerging security technologies to strengthen our overall security posture.\n\n2. Firewall & Traffic Management\nConfigure, monitor, and maintain Palo Alto firewalls, including rule sets, security policies, and threat prevention profiles.\nTroubleshoot and resolve firewall-related security issues.\nPerform regular firewall audits and vulnerability assessments.\n\n3. Network Infrastructure Protection\nMonitor network traffic patterns to detect and mitigate security threats.\nImplement and maintain IDS/IPS solutions for continuous threat detection.\nPartner with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls into all network devices, systems, and applications.\n\n4. Remote Access Security\nDesign, implement, and maintain secure remote access architectures and policies.\nSupport secure connectivity across iOS, Android, Windows, and MacOS environments.\nCollaborate with end-users to ensure optimal and secure remote experiences.\n\n5. Application Delivery & Load Balancing\nConfigure, monitor, and maintain F5 load balancers (VM and hardware) to ensure high availability, performance, and secure application delivery.\n\n6. Incident Response & Vulnerability Management\nInvestigate and remediate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and apply corrective measures.\nEnsure vulnerabilities are addressed by applying the latest security patches and configurations in alignment with global security standards.\nParticipate in on-call rotations for after-hours, weekend, and holiday emergency support.\n\n7. Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing\nWork closely with IT teams and partners to align network security with organizational goals.\nMentor junior engineers and share best practices.\nStay ahead of industry trends, emerging threats, and evolving technologies in network security, Palo Alto, and Azure.\nQualifications\nCertifications (Highly Preferred):\nPalo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)\nCisco Certified Network Professional Security (CCNP Security)\nF5 Certified Technology Specialist (CTS)\nAdditional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or AWS Certified Security – Specialty are a plus.\nTechnical Expertise in Network Security:\nIn-depth knowledge of network security frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).\nExperience with network segmentation, zero trust architecture, and secure VPN solutions.\nStrong understanding of encryption protocols, PKI, TLS/SSL, IPsec, and certificate management.\nAdvanced firewall policy design, rule optimization, and traffic analysis.\nThreat intelligence integration into network defense strategies.\nCore Networking Skills:\nStrong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and NAT.\nFamiliarity with intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) and SIEM platforms.\nExperience with cloud-based security architectures (Azure required; AWS/GCP a plus).\nOther Requirements:\nSolid understanding of AI/ML concepts as they relate to network threat detection and automation.\nExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex, hybrid cloud environments.\n\nStrong communication skills for cross-team collaboration and security advocacy.\nThe base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:\n$108,000 - $186,900\nBase pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
