The Sales Application Engineer will collaborate with Sierra’s teams of Technical Support Specialists, Product Engineers, Service, Calibration and Quality Technicians, while interacting with Sierra’s customers, Sierra’s sales force, and all Sierra internal departments.\n\nResponsibilities:\nAnswer phones, emails, skypes, texts, and chats regarding technical or repair issues, both pre- and post-sale to both internal and external customers\nCoordinate additional technical support through other employees and vendor technicians to support customers\nTrack warranty issues and customer complaints, trend them, propose corrective actions and take personal responsibility for solving the quality problem.\nWrite warranty reports and follow technical issues, reporting to Product Teams\nProvide repair/calibration quotations to the Service Department and technical advice as needed.\nInteract with Engineering, Calibration, and Assembly to solve technical and documentation issues.\nSupport customers with technical, repair and calibration information\nAssist with all technical and sales issues and enter sales and service orders when needed\nSuggest new product and feature development based on customer feedback\nCreate customer technical tools, videos and literature to train and problem solve\n\nQualifications:\nTrade School, AA Degree (or equivalent) with 2-4 years prior experience in a customer service role in a technical, consultative environment.\nPrevious experience with electronics/mechanical assembly, troubleshooting and repair\nDigicom, programming and network field or manufacturing experience is a plus (Modbus, Profibus DP, Ethernet, Foundation Fieldbus, and HART for example)\nStrong interpersonal skills\nOrganizational skills\nExcellent communication skills, written and verbal\nTeam player\nProactive mentality\nA high level of flexibility including the power to adapt to different situations and customer personalities\nPhysical Demands:\nPhysical Demand(s): Can lift up to 10 lbs, sitting and stand for reasonable periods of time\nVisual Demand(s): Ability to look at a computer monitor for reasonable periods of time\nHazard(s): Manufacturing environment\nTravel: Possibility of travel up to 10%\n\nCommitment to People and Planet:\nTASI Measurement is committed to fostering a sustainable and socially responsible environment.
