Este Empleador Participa en E-Verify.**SummaryThe Equipment Operator position is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of equipment. Heavy equipment may include front-end loaders, dozers, excavators, graders, compactors and other pieces of equipment. Work will be performed per the supervisor’s instruction, free from direct supervision except for more complicated jobs. Equipment Operators are responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and securing all equipment.Essential FunctionsOperate heavy equipment used in earth moving operations to build/ level and excavate land surfaces. Use equipment as appropriate to level roads and/or working area, ensure proper drainage, and develop proper gradePerforms daily safety and maintenance checksMaintain and turn in daily records of equipment inspection.Fuel, Oil and Grease Equipment daily Change worn or broken GET (teeth/ cutting edges etc,)Use hand-held mobile radio units to coordinate tasks and resources. Operates heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life. Clean heavy equipment as scheduled and/or required Maintain the equipment and advise supervisor of any requirement for maintenance or repairsReport any damage immediately to supervisor Use heavy equipment for its intended purpose with little or no assistanceEnsure equipment is safely and securely storedHelp identify hazardous conditions on the job site.Ensure adherence to safe work practices and proceduresOther duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibilities: None.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function and preferably able to perform other tasks satisfactorily.
