The position will lead programs and projects that improve asset reliability, ensure regulatory compliance, and enhance overall equipment performance across the site.\n\nPRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to):\n\nReliability Engineering & Asset Performance\nProvide technical leadership on monitoring/inspecting of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation/control systems to enhance reliability\nDefine condition monitoring requirements and lead Predictive and Preventive Maintenance programs\n\nInspection, Compliance & Mechanical Integrity\n\nOversee inspections in accordance with API 510, API 570, and API 653 standards\nEnsure inspection program is in compliance with RAGAGEP and OSHA 1910.119 (PSM) requirements\nManage and implement corrosion monitoring programs (e.g., PSAIM®)\nEnsure all inspection and repair activities are properly documented per regulatory and corporate MIQA standards\n\nDocumentation & Reporting\n\nDevelop and maintain standardized inspection and maintenance plans\nReview post-inspection reports with actionable short- and long-term recommendations; track recommendations to closure\nMaintain and update equipment inspection history, and inspection plans within SAP and site systems\nTrack and report reliability and MIQA metrics\n\nRepair, Maintenance & Field Support\n\nDevelop and document repair plans for fixed equipment\nOversee/Coordinate maintenance activities, repair execution, and equipment installation to ensure quality and compliance\nPerform field contract administration for repairs and inspection services\n\nQuality Assurance & Technical Oversight\n\nEnsure QA/QC plans ITPs are developed for new equipment fabrication and installation\nCoordinate quality inspections at vendor shops and onsite\nReview NDE results and determine required actions, track required actions to closure\nPerform engineering calculations such as, minimum allowable thickness, remaining useful life\n\nProject & Program Management\n\nCoordinate contract inspection and NDE activities, including field execution oversight\nIdentify, plan, and execute reliability improvement and site improvement projects\nLead minor capital projects and support Management of Change (MOC) processes\nParticipate in design reviews to recommend reliability improvements\n\nSafety & Leadership\n\nEnsure all equipment and activities meet safety and environmental compliance standards\nServe as a member of the Process Safety Management (PSM) Committee with focus on Mechanical Integrity and Quality Assurance\nParticipate in corporate MIQA network, contribute to development of programs, and lead implementation at the Borderland site.\n\nQualifications\n\nIn order to be qualified for this role, the following is required:\n\nEducation/Experience/Background\nBachelor's degree (B.S.) in an Engineering Discipline (Mechanical Engineering preferred)\nMinimum 2 years relative experience working in/on Mechanical Integrity and Quality Assurance programs or in Maintenance Supervision\nMinimum 2 years' experience within high hazardous chemical processing or oil refining industries or similar industries\n\nKnowledge/Skills/Abilities\n\nWorking knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM)\nKnowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, preventive and predictive maintenance technologies, and condition monitoring and fixed time maintenance strategies\nExperience working within a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
