Position is benefits eligible.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nPerforms a variety of tasks related to the assembly, disassembly, rework, and repair of electronic assemblies, including:\n\nCircuit Card Assembly: Stuffing and assembling printed circuit boards (PCBs) with through-hole and surface mount components. Performing modifications, upgrades, and component replacement on PCBs.\nCable and Harness Assembly: Preparing wires and cables, performing point-to-point wiring, crimping, soldering, and assembling cable harnesses.\nChassis Assembly: Assembling cabinets, chassis, and consoles, integrating electronic components, and performing rack assembly.\nMechanical Assembly: Potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color-coding parts and assemblies.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities:\n\nFollows detailed written and verbal instructions, process routings, wiring diagrams, and production planning documents.\nPerforms board and component preparation, soldering (both through-hole and surface mount), and touch-up.\nOperates machines for soldering, desoldering, pressing, shaping, winding, and placing components.\nConducts in-process self-checks and prepares assemblies for formal inspection and testing.\nMay assist with conformal coating, potting, encapsulating, and other intermediate assembly tasks.\nMaintains a clean and organized work area and follows safety procedures.\nQualifications:\n\nKnowledge and Skills:\n\nAbility to read and interpret process routings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.\nProficient in soldering and cable assembly techniques.\nKnowledge of electronic component identification and handling.\nFamiliarity with IPC standards (IPC-610, IPC-620, IPC-7711, J-STD-001) is preferred.\nBasic computer skills and data collection for Statistical Process Control (SPC).\n\nEducation and Experience:\n\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent.\nTwo years of experience in electronic assembly, rework, and repair is preferred.\n\nPhysical and Other Requirements:\n\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds.\nGood eyesight and color vision.\nMay require sitting, standing, kneeling, or squatting for extended periods.\nMay be exposed to solvents, flux, thinners, and other cleaning compounds.\nMay require the use of visual aids (magnification lenses, microscopes) and personal safety equipment.\nAbility to obtain a Secret security clearance may be required.\nMust be able to achieve and maintain appropriate solder certifications.\nMust be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret clearance.\n\nAt V2X, we are deeply committed to both equal employment opportunity, including protection for Veterans and individuals with disabilities, and fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
