Working closely with RF, Mechanical, Electrical, and Software Engineers, the Systems Engineer will guide the development of the Radar System from initial design, through finalization of the design, and finally through the integration and test events.\nKey Responsibilities Guide the development of the Radar System from initial design to finalization and integration/test events.\nWork closely with RF, Mechanical, Electrical, and Software Engineers to integrate and test combined hardware and software systems.\nProvide system‑level trade‑space assessments and determine benefit trade‑offs with the Project Engineer.\nDocument and specify system and subsystem level requirements.\nPlan, review, and execute integration and test events.\nProvide technical input and cost estimation support.\nLead a small group of systems or mixed‑discipline engineers.\nWillingness to travel (10%).\nPrimary Experience Strong attention to detail and work ethic.\nKnowledge of proper systems engineering discipline and rigor.\nSignificant experience with Radar systems or similar signal processing systems.\nExperience and knowledge of algorithms used for navigation, periscope detection, discrimination or other traditional radar signal‑processing applications.\nLaboratory knowledge including setup and use of Linux‑based system integration, test, and execution.\nExperience planning, reviewing, and executing integration and test events for combined hardware and software systems.\nAbility to document and specify system and subsystem level requirements.\nExperience working with a team to jointly develop a system during all phases of the development lifecycle.\nReview and provide technical input and cost estimation support.\nProvide systems engineering leadership to a small group of systems or mixed‑discipline engineers.\nPreferred Experience Automated testing of software baselines.\nKnowledge of Navy platforms or common Navy platforms interfaces.\nKnowledge or understanding of X‑band system trade‑offs.\nExperience working with MIL STDs for all types of test requirements (MIL‑STD‑454, MIL‑STD‑901, etc.).\nMatlab, Mathcad, or other modeling languages.\nEducation & Experience Typically a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a related field and 3+ years of related experience or a recognized apprenticeship.
