The Supervisor is more specifically responsible for:\r\nDelivering excellent customer service at all times, with all passengers, clients, terminal employees and ship's crew as per training.\r\nMaintaining compliance with all company policies and procedures.\r\nAs necessary, performing access control duties as per position post orders and the relevant Facility Security Plan.\r\nAs necessary, performs passenger, baggage and other physical screening as per the Facility Security Plan, in strict adherence to the certification received through training.\r\nEnsuring all personnel are given required and requested breaks.\r\nEnsuring all personnel are posted properly and rotated as necessary, in accordance with established policies and procedures, as well as the Facility Security Plan.\r\nProper safe-keeping of all associated Sensitive Security Information (SSI) materials.\r\nWrite and maintain reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.\r\nInspect work areas to ensure compliance of established regulations in regards to safety and maintenance.\r\nObserve and evaluate worker's performance to ensure upward mobility and proper utilization of employee skills.\r\nEnsure all required reports are executed as necessary.\r\nMaintain staff levels in accordance with client needs.\r\nEducation and/or Work Experience Requirements:\r\nMust be able to communicate in and speak fluent English\r\nMust be able to work in a client-focused role within a fast pace environment.\r\nMust be able to handle multiple tasks and high level of accuracy required.\r\nMust be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.\r\nState Security Officer License required.\r\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\r\nAssociates degree or higher preferred.\r\nLaw Enforcement or Military experience preferred.\r\nCustomer Service experience preferred.\r\nScreener certification (provided by company).\r\nPhysical Requirements:\r\nInspects documents for validity such as; Port ID, driver's licenses, company ID's and passports for access control.\r\nAbility to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.\r\nMust be able to stand a minimum of eight (8) hours at a time.\r\nMust be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.\r\nMust be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on a telephone/VHF two-way radio.\r\nMust have sufficient computer and writing skills.\r\nQualifications:\r\nLicenses & Certifications Required:\r\nClass D License\r\nTWIC\r\nEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
