Material Handler
Job OverviewThe Manufacturing Material Handler will provide logistical support for the manufacturing process. This position will be focused on supporting all departments as needed, with primary role in manufacturing. This is an on-site hourly position that may require the employee to be in their assigned area prior to the start of the shift to stage work area. Additional work hours will be assigned during peak times and year-end.RectorSeal manufactures and/or distributes a variety of mechanical products for the HVAC, electrical, and plumbing industries. This passion for excellent customer service is the reason RectorSeal has been growing at a very fast pace, and now requires additional shift capacity to meet customer demand.Key ResponsibilitiesFollow all Safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.Ensure accurate of all physical and electronic material movements material of stock.Count and verify all material based on work order or packings lists.Transfer stock between department and areas using forklift and handheld scanning deviceCommunicate with zone leads and department heads of issue with movements in system of physical.Work, safely, quickly, and efficiently to handle stock in various functions throughout the building.Maintain daily equipment and movement logs, to ensure safety operations.Engage in problem solving and support continuous improvement.Keep a spirit of learning and a desire to grow as a team member.Maintain a positive and respectful attitude while working independently and in a team environment.Available to work overtime as business needs require.Perform other related duties as directed.Preferred RequirementsCertification in the operation of a forklift truck is not necessary but would be considered a plusWarehouse or receiving work experience is a plusSkills/CompetenciesHigh School Diploma or G.E.D. requiredStrong written and verbal communication skillsGood computer skills to function in job roleMust be able to operate a forkliftMust have very high-quality standards and degree of accuracy and organizational skillsSolid work history that demonstrates reliabilityAble to work on your feet for 8-hour shifts and lift 35-50 lbs. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands and fingers to type or dial, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and reach with hands and arms.The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. This position requires computer use.
