The position is ideal for a senior banker who thrives in pure business development and relationship expansion.Requirements:5+ years of experience in business banking, commercial banking, or relationship managementBachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experienceStrong knowledge of cash flow analysis, business credit underwriting, and loan structuringExperience developing new business relationships within the small to midsized business segmentAbility to manage complex commercial relationships and recommend appropriate loan and deposit solutionsStrong presentation, verbal, and written communication skillsDemonstrated business acumen across a range of industries, markets, and economic conditionsAbility to work cross-functionally with credit, underwriting, treasury, and internal banking partnersProficiency with Microsoft Office and pipeline management practicesEstablished ability to generate business without relying on an inherited portfolioDescription:Develop and grow a portfolio of small to midsized business clients through direct business development activityMake retention and prospecting calls to existing and prospective customersBuild and maintain an active pipeline of opportunities and centers of influenceInterview applicants, gather required documentation, and recommend appropriate lending solutionsStructure credit requests and submit complete packages for underwriting and approvalReview loan documentation for completeness and accuracy in accordance with approved termsCoordinate and attend loan closingsIdentify cross-sell opportunities across deposits, treasury services, credit, and other bank productsAct as a financial advisor by educating clients on business banking strategies, credit needs, market conditions, and related financial solutionsMonitor client activity, market trends, and evolving business needs to uncover additional opportunitiesCollaborate closely with internal departments to deliver a high-quality client experience and help close new relationships efficientlyContribute to regional growth initiatives and support broader market development efforts
